1. The one that matters
Do not submit a supplement line for work that was not performed, or for a part or operation that was not necessary for a correct repair.
A SuppSmith flag means an item appears to be missing from the insurer's estimate. It is not evidence that the work was done, and it is not permission to bill for it. Whether the operation is genuinely required on that vehicle — and whether your shop actually performed it — is your call and your responsibility, every time.
Submitting for work not performed is insurance fraud. We will terminate accounts we believe are being used that way.
2. Documents
Upload only estimates for repairs your facility is handling or has handled, and only where you have the right to upload them. Do not upload another shop's estimates, documents obtained without authorisation, or files containing personal information unrelated to the repair.
3. Citations
Citations point at published material. Do not present a citation as a licence to reproduce the source, do not strip attribution, and do not paste our paraphrase into a supplement as if it were the procedure text itself. Read the source under your own subscription before you rely on it.
4. The service
Do not attempt to use SuppSmith to communicate with an insurer, or represent to anyone that SuppSmith communicates with insurers on your behalf. Do not resell or share access outside your facility, or share logins across locations not covered by your plan. Do not attempt to extract our rules, prompts or citation database wholesale, probe the service for vulnerabilities without asking us first, or interfere with its operation.

Security issues or suspected misuse: support@suppsmith.com. We would rather hear about a vulnerability from you than from an incident.
